Easy Fruit Salad

It almost embarrasses me to share this as a recipe, but it makes such an easy and quick side that I don’t want to keep it from you. In which case, I share this so you have yet another incredibly simple side dish option for those times where you need something quick but are feeling a lack of creativity and drive. With a 9 month old running the house, I feel like this a lot! If you have kids, a picky husband, or both: this is so easy and customizable that you can make it to suit your family’s cravings.


Easy Fruit Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 (10 oz) jar maraschino cherries
  • 1 (20 oz) can pineapple chunks
  • 1 (15 oz) can mandarin oranges

Directions: Open all of your containers. Add the pineapple and its juices to your serving dish. Drain the cherries and the oranges. Combine the cherries and oranges with the pineapple. Chill, covered in the refrigerator until ready to serve.

012Open the can of pineapple and pour it into your serving dish, juices and all! Drain the cherries and the mandarin oranges and stir them in with the pineapple and the pineapple juice. Chill in the refrigerator until you are ready to chow down!
