Cream-Filled Cupcakes

I am totally obsessed with these cupcakes, and for good reason!

If you love those sinfully delicious chocolate snack cupcakes with the perfect white swirls on top and the delightful cream filling then my tricky copycat recipe is for you!

This recipe is extra sneaky because I like to save myself some trouble and use a cake mix and store bought frosting. If you don’t like the idea of using those items then feel free to use your favorite chocolate cupcake recipe and marshmallow frosting. I won’t feel bad!

When I first tried these cupcakes I ate half of them in one sitting and then made another batch, they are that good! Continue reading “Cream-Filled Cupcakes”

Valentine’s Day 2016 Series: No-Bake Nutella Cheesecakes

Let’s start this series off right with a delicious and uncomplicated dessert to impress!

I just recently tried Nutella for the first time, despite the Nutella craze that has circulated for a while, now. I was pleased to find that it is very, very tasty. Though I’ll probably stick with good ol’ creamy peanut butter for my everyday toast spread, Nutella is a nice treat that goes splendidly in these simple no-bake cheesecakes! Better yet: This is a dessert you can make a day ahead of your special dinner. Thumbs up!

Hearts over Football

While everybody else is stocking up on chips and pinning recipes for dips and hot wings, I am busy day-dreaming all of the possibilities of what I can do with my new heart shaped silicone mold!

Would you hate me if I told you I have never watched a Superbowl? In high school I went to football games solely to talk about boys with my friends and drink hot chocolate. With Valentine’s Day in a week, I am more excited about heart shaped foods than I am football!

For Mr. C and I, our Valentine’s day will be quiet and low-key; if you are very budget conscious like we are, your Valentine’s day may be very similar. We aren’t going out for an expensive dinner, but we still want to celebrate the day! With my heart shaped silicone mold the first thing to come to mind are adorable heart shaped cupcakes, but I am determined to show that there are loads of possibilities!

Valentine’s Day 2016 Series: My goal for the next week is to experiment making heart shaped foods to inspire you for the upcoming holiday. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and dessert – I can’t wait to explore the possibilities!
